SUMMER HOLIDAY EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES

Dorset has it all with country park's, public paddling pools, long sandy beaches and lots of great attractions for the whole family to enjoy.

It's impossible to plan big days out every day (unless you are a millionaire of course) so please look below for places offering affordable craft sessions, entertainment and themed trails.  For the days that you are treating the kids then the Circus will be in town plus there's festivals, fun days and even a pirate invasion!

SOUTH EAST DORSET

SATURDAY 20 JULY – SUNDAY 1 SEPTEMBER 2019

Meet some of the creatures that make our shoreline their home on a coastal creatures trail.  For the more agile, you can have a go at the tree climbing trail that will take you all the way to a natural play area or get creative with a nature rubbing trail.

At Stewarts Garden Centre in Christchurch a temporary Butterfly House will be open in the outdoor plants greenhouse!
The Butterfly House is free to enter however a donation to the Forest Holme Hospice will be greatly welcomed.

The Summer Reading Challenge runs through the Summer Holidays and this year the theme is Space Chase.  Children aged 4-12 can sign up to read six books, collect stickers, take part in activities and then collect a medal.  Activities include stories, art, crafts, space themed games, and entertainment which are all free!
