Poole Zombie Fest is a free, family-friendly day of spook-tacular activities taking place between the High Street and Poole Quay.  All visitors are encouraged to wear zombie fancy dress and visit the special effects team and face painting stands where experts will be on hand throughout the day to add the finishing touches to costumes, ahead of the Zombie Parade.

JUNIOR SAFETY INSPECTOR HALLOWEEN SPECIAL
Tuesday 29 and Wednesday 30 October 2019
Families practice being safe whilst having fun exploring the interactive learning village which comes complete with road, beach, train, house and garden, shop, park, bus and cars - all life sized and under one roof.  The self-guided tours are designed for children aged 5 – 10 years but all ages are welcome.  Tour lasts around 1.5 hours and consists of a treasure hunt and practical problem solving.

Laser Quest will be transformed into a spooky scaretastic adventure where game players can battle hordes of Zombies with a laser blaster!  Fright night sessions last 3 hours and include a whole host of games featuring live actors and special effects.  Fright Night is suitable for children aged 6 years and up with the last session being for the very brave teenagers and adults.

HARVEST AND HIBERNATION HALF TERM FUN

Celebrate the harvest and all the beautiful autumn colour with hands-on activities each day.  There’ll be a changing array of crafts throughout the week, including leaf creations, beeswax candle making and colouring.  Venture along the Woodland Walk to discover the Woodland Hideaway where you can have a go at some nature themed activities, including creating a wild poem, traditional fence building, making a fairy den or just snuggling up in the bell tent with a book.  The event is free for members, but normal admission charges apply for non-members.

This October Half Term experience a rally car display from Future Terrain every weekday at 1pm in the Museum arena, plus Meet the Crews. See a 10 foot tall temporary poppy sculpture, for Remembrance. Get involved with special half term activities, like Paint a Tank and Meet Blackjack, a WWI Cavalry Horse. Try on uniforms and handle the kit that would have been used by cavalry soldiers. Other talks and tours include getting inside a Chieftain Main Battle Tank and learning about Tommy in the Trenches.

ASCARIUM EVENT!
