Horace the 35 foot-long Pliosaur will be the star attraction, taking up 'roar'sidence from Monday to Friday.  He also has an interactive cinematic experience in his belly!  Horace will be joined by Terence the T-Rex who’ll be wandering around the park plus there’s dinosaur games, puzzles, colouring and face painting.

Thursday 20 – Saturday 22 February 2020

This unique, free, Digital Light Art Festival will transform Poole’s Town Centre and waterfront after dark.  As darkness falls, using the theme ‘SPECTRUM’, Poole will tell its story as a narrative seen through the artists’ eyes using projections, interactive light, and sound.

Join this fun and interactive class teaching children about cat welfare.  The workshop will run for an hour and the session will be split into two parts with 30 minutes of activities and 30 minutes of free time where children can interact with the cats in the cafe, join in with a colouring activity or enjoy some yummy food.  There is also a date specifically suitable for children with special educational needs.

Wednesday 19 & Thursday 20 February 2020

The Junior Safety Inspector event is aimed at children aged 4 -10 years old, but all ages are welcome.  The indoor village includes a road, beach, train, bus, house and other real life scenarios - all under one roof!  The whole family can join in with practical and hands on activities, such escaping a house fire, calling 999, getting on a train and using the road crossings.  Visitors complete a self-guided treasure hunt, solve clues and practice being safe whilst exploring the learning village. Children receive a certificate when they qualify as Junior Safety Inspectors after successfully completing the tour.

Be prepared for World Book Day and make either a wizard, fairy, super hero, pirate and knights or bring your favourite book and see what you can create.  There will also be a glass painting workshop where children can learn how to paint on glass and create beautiful items for the home.  The fun Adventure Play Bus which is filled with soft play equipment, funny mirrors and disco lights will also be visiting on the Tuesday and Wednesday.

SEA LIFE Weymouth are launching the Jawsome Sharks and Friends quest to help Professor Finn find the missing Top Trumps cards, so he can teach everybody about the incredible sharks and sea creatures that live at the aquarium.  The mad professor is hoping to recruit a new team of Jawsome Rangers for 2020 to help him in his mission to locate all of the missing cards and place them in the correct order.  Once the rangers have qualified, the new recruits will receive a very special reward to take home and continue to learn and develop their passion for exploring.  Guests will learn fun facts along the way about the species of sharks and other amazing creatures that call the aquarium home.
